This projection for Digital Media class required basic coding in Processing to create a 60-second light show. The flashing lights on the boxes had to be timed with music, which was all done through the manipulation of a template code. Part of the challenge of this projection was the variable speed of the program (timing and lag were different depending on the machine, number of other programs running, etc.), but I worked to design my show under optimal operating conditions. I used the beat of The Temper Trap's "Fader" to design my light show. We then projected the show from Processing onto 3D boxes in a dark room for a live performance, which is recorded below.
